Prince’s I Saul the Light, truly was my MY LIGHT.  It was a pleasure of mine to be his owner, he wasn’t just some dog that you put in the kennel, he was my friend.  I lost him in March of 06, but his memory will live on with me forever.  He wasn’t just another hunting dog, there was so much more to him than that.

He was the kind of dog that you could hunt all day and at the same time when you wanted to take a break he would come over and lay down beside you or want to lay on your lap.  He was the most calm, gentle animal that I have ever been around and I have seen thousands of dogs. Whenever I would enter him in a Field Trial Competition he would usually walk away with a 1st thru 3rd place and everybody who was there knew that the competition was on when ever he showed up.  People who I didn’t even know referred other individuals to me for breeding or for puppies because they knew what he would produce in his off spring. He was not only a great hunter but had a great nose and a ton of NATURAL ABILITY!  He first started pointing and holding birds that were shot over him at an impressive 4 1/2 months.  He was naturally staunch and if he would bump a bird by accident he would stop and hold almost as if he said UH OH I JUST MESSED UP!  He could also trail birds to no end. I once saw him trail a cock pheasant about 75yds pin and hold the bird for another guy who I was guiding for, this was on tame birds) the bird walked out of the tall grass, just stood there in front of Sauly for about 30 sec., he just held him until the guy flushed him, shot him and then Sauly retrieved him to his hand. The guy walked back to me and said “I believe that is the finest dog that I have ever had the privilege to hunt behind, and I have hunted all over the country at several Orvis endorsed lodges.”

This is a testimonial to SAULY, the GREATEST all around dog I ever owned.  Sauly is still living in my heart and in his progeny.  He has a lot of progeny all over the country that have excelled in trial competitions and that have just been another families best friend or hunting companion.  If you are in interested in the kind of dog that will hunt for you and then at the end of the day, who’s only desire is to please you then please consider a puppy from Sauly’s bloodline, they truly are amazing animals, read the testimonials in the website or gundogbreeders.com.

There is no better representative for the breeding program that I have worked so hard to build than the people that owned my dogs.  Please consider Sauly, and his bloodline for your next hunting companion and friend.

Thank You,

John
